Get your free Obamaphone

Here is an interesting development in the control grid society. Free phones and free call minutes for people on Federal Government assistance programs, food stamps, etc. Now why would the Federal Government want to give free phones away with free calls to everyone on any type of welfare or housing program?

    COMMENT

This seems a little strange at a time when the country is bankrupt, that they would run a program like this. I suppose many who still believe that the Republicans are a separate party from the Democrats might say this was buying votes from the poor leading up to the 2010 elections. Perhaps but we have learned that it doesn’t matter who controls the houses on Capital Hill, the same agenda moves forward regardless.

My feelings would be more towards the surveillance society being put into place. We have seen stories this year about mobile phones being used by the NSA as listening devises even when the phone is not being used. We are also aware that the NSA now records all your calls. Well many people still use cell phones that are unregistered to avoid this type of interference. This new program however requires a name, date of birth, and zip code to apply for one. This will enable the NSA to identify everyone with one of these phones to an address.

Offering this free will also make many people forego their privacy. The same thing has been mooted with internet access, whereby people will be offered a limited service for free. The desire is to remove as many people as possible from the full exposure of the internet. This was talked about in the Internet2 discussions.

Perhaps it isn’t that sinister at all and they simply want us to get brain cancer ?

I love having this deal,it helps people,if ur out& about & get hurt, etc…{many things could go wrong}you can then call 4 help, just 2 keep in touch with those u need 2,to have communation with the outside,to have a number to give 4 jobs,4 one+more.. and i agree they arent luxurious but then again they are gold to those who wouldnt have it without this help.

    2. Lynnette Says:

I think that this is a good program that is now in place to help people get jobs and increase their income. If you read the Sullivan Report which came out earlier this year then you will see that it show how blue collar workers can earn a larger percentage per month from owning a cell phone than white collar workers. This will help get more people productive and less on government aid. So whoever is is power is irrelevant, this will help America become better which is important. And if you know that this phone has nothing to do with Obama then you shouldn’t call it an Obama phone.

    3. Reel Manny Says:

This is a travesty and it doesn’t matter who started it, the govt shouldn’t be giving away our money to “poor” people!

I’m also concerned about the program expanding! I hear that Virgin Mobile will be starting up their own version of this, using taxpayer dollars. WTF???

Reality check: Is this really a bad thing?

Not really. This is really actually a very good example of a public-private initiative.

The money has been collected by 25+ years and was applied to landlines. Under the Bush Administration, the program began to include cheapo, low-end cell phones (the ones that sell for under $10 at gas stations and discount stores).

TracFone provides the phones and minutes, and the recipients can buy more as needed.

I could see being upset if they gave away cars, iPhones or cable TV, but Tracfones are hardly luxury items and it’s not worth getting worked up about, truly.

Thanx for this useful post. But I had trouble navigating around your website as I kept getting 502 bad gateway error. Just thought to let you know.

    6. door32 Says:

Doctor Tracfone, yes I am aware it is not a new program. However one of the main underlying messages of this site is to show people that there is no difference between the various political lefts and rights. They are merely 2 sides of one agenda run by powerful elites. Hence it matters not who is in power, the agenda still grows.

This free phone network is a case in point. True I may be appealing to the people who are afraid of creeping socialism here but they too are misguided because the system that will eventually emerge will be feudal. The phone system itself is simply another growing arm of the control grid and the human sickening agenda. Offer people something for free and they will take it no matter how bad it is for them

    7. Doctor Tracfone Says:

The is a program that started 25 years ago for indigent people and was modified to include cell phones during the GW Bush administration.

Also, nothing to do with Obama or food stamps. Sorry.

The phones themselves are rather low-end, not bling. Hardly luxurious.
